A Ballad for Christmas

Be careful when culture becomes religion
When hearts become hardened
When grace is not sufficient
When mornings are a hustle
And nights are not restful
Be careful when your eyes are on things not from above
When focus is on what glistens
And the things most cherished are not joy or wisdom
Remember who is truly watching
Who truly never slumbers
Who loves with all he has
Regardless if you’ve been “good or bad”
Remember why you’re here
Why you have a family
Why you have a home
And why it’s not forever
Whether you’re out and about or sitting around with those you hold most dear
Be careful to remember just how you made it through the year
By grace alone, by a shepherd’s care, and with the light from up above
May you have a bright and wonderful time to reminisce on such
And thank Him for his love
In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom He is pleased!
1 John 4:9, John 1:14, Luke 2:14
Glory to God, and to God be the glory 😉
