The war we're in

Updated: Apr 21, 2022

A wise man once taught me that people who are not growing become critical of those who are growing.

I think if we are honest we have been on both sides of this truth. The hard part is asking ourselves the question “Am I spending my time and energy criticizing others” or “am I so busy learning, giving, loving, and making a kingdom difference that I don’t have time to worry about complaining over what others are doing”?

This isn’t something we need to beat ourselves up over, we just need to confess, repent and start being a doer! Find people who are doing something to make a difference and ask them how you can help!

Putting yourself out there is hard and takes loads of courage. Kingdom expansion will come with tension and push back. I can guarantee that! People will complain, gossip and lie about you at times. But remember who we really wrestle against. They are just serving as a tool for our real enemy.

Instead of feeling discouraged and defeated let this behavior be a sign that you are entering territory that hasn’t been tampered with and the enemy wants to stop you. Let that aggression against you cause you to dig your heels in and stand firm on God’s Word and your calling! Say out loud “the battle is on and it’s already been won!”

Kingdom warriors do the hard things. They fall down but get back up. They sometimes leave family and friends behind (Luke 14:26) who are not willing to take the hard path. They are not motivated by the rejection of man but are motivated by a calling from God.

Let’s prepare our hearts for 2022. It’s time we lay casual Christianity aside and really get ready for battle. Let’s live like it’s our last year on earth and we need to share the love and knowledge of Christ with everyone before we go home. Suit up with the armor of God and let’s go!
